Next, we stopped at Cricket Cove Marina and topped off the fuel tanks, we hate to pass up a cheap fuel stop that is literally on the waterway. Problem is, it always seems to take about $500.00, ouch! I'm glad one of us still generates some form of income!
We passed several inlets to the Atlantic Ocean along the route, the water was very clear that close to the ocean.
Our stop for the night was the Carolina Beach State Park Marina. It turned out to be a wonderful stop! We stayed an extra day so we could go for a long walk on the nature trails. There are miles of them and they go out to the water and thru the woods, very fun for the dogs as well as the humans.
Here is a shot of the boat at the dock in the marina, we were the ONLY transient boat in the marina, the reviews report shallow depths and that is all you need to keep most of the loopers away. We watched a parade of boats going by the next day.
