Peterbourgh has a great bicycle trail system that ran through the grounds at Lock 20. The lower lock gate is part of the trail with pedestrians and bicyclist crossing over the gate to get to the parks on each side of the lock. We had a beautiful view of Little Lake from our spot on the lower lock wall.

As we traveled on to Burleigh Falls the terrain changed and became more rocky.
It is amazing what grows out of these boulders. It seemed on Stoney Lake every rocky island that was large enough had a cottage on it.
Overnighted at the bottom of the lock at Burleigh Falls and locked through the next morning with a house boat and a runabout. It was a short cruise to Lovesick lock. As we approached, there was a houseboat in the chamber so we slowly started for the blue line when on the right bank a black bear trotted up and proceeded across the upper lock gate to the other side. The lock isn't very big so it must have been quite a show for the folks in the houseboat. Unfortunately it caught me by surprise and I didn't get a photo of the event.
We stayed at Lovesick and Jim tried his luck at fishing. When that panned out, we got the kayaks down and paddled around Wolf Island. There are no roads to this lock so it is very peaceful. The lock staff commute by boat from Burleigh Falls to the lock.
